The stick pack has now become a familiar sight in many restaurants and fast food outlets. For convenience, hygiene, versatility and to avoid waste and mess they are an ideal solution. So ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, honey other sauces and, of course, sugar are hardly ever dispensed from bottles or bowls these days.
Even salt and pepper comes in handy and easy to open sachets rather than clogging up a messy dispenser which has become encrusted as the moisture gets in.
Indeed there is hardly any food product - cooked or raw, frozen or fresh, dry or wet, powder or granular, large and irregularly shaped - which have not been touched by flexible packaging’s convenience, resource efficiency and barrier properties.
